*Economic empowerment: The HI-VHC acknowledges the fact that there are victims of domestic violence that must be provided with some economic empowerment to stabilize. As a result, these victims are referred to organizations or state agencies with current projects to support them through provision of start-up grant/material and capacity building in micro-business skills. When resources are available, HI-VHC also provides such services directly.
HI-VHC services are provided free of charge when victims are admitted for help and are built on the do no harm principle, confidentiality, free from discrimination and segregation. All HI-VHC services are hinged upon rights based approach and data protection act (DPA).
